John W. Lowe, Jr. is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is listed on the panels of many arbitration and mediation institutions Including Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). From 2018-2024 he was a member of the ICC Arbitration and ADR Committee. He is on the Panel of Recognized International Market Experts in Finance (P.R.I.M.E.) and is a panel member for the Independent Review Process for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.
Mr. Lowe teaches dispute resolution for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Universita’ di Pisa and La Sapienza in Rome. Mr. Lowe was a former President of the European Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel where he also served as a board member from 2005-2015. John W. Lowe, Jr has arbitrated or mediated disputes involving financing agreements, acquisition finance and shareholder and employee disputes in the finance sector. He has worked internationally as General Counsel and in-house counsel with major multinationals for many years. He began his career as a US diplomat serving in Mexico, Washington and Italy.
Mr. Lowe is fluent in French, Italian and Spanish in addition to his native English.
